According to this site, searches for the game World of Warcraft beat out searches for Jesus everywhere in the world except the US where Jesus garnered more searches. Google has a nice little trend chart that you can check out.

The Jesus Christ Arcade has a couple of Jesus-related Flash games. I only played two but there’s seven or eight others as well.

Myth Hunt – this game is like Duck Hunt for the NES, shoot the flying Jesus or risk ridicule from a giggling Jesus. My aim is terrible.

Super Jesus – a side-scrolling Jesus must use his laser vision to shoot down terrorist planes. This game moves quic, too quick for my old bones.

Just found this South Park clip on YouTube. The South Park boys have never been afraid of controversy, I’ll give ‘em that. From what I understand, this episode was in direct response to Comedy Central censoring the show because they were going to show the image of Mohammed. I guess having Jesus take a crap on the flag and the President is much better than showing Mohammed’s face…I just don’t get it…

No, I don’t think that’s what NYMetro is trying to say. However, comparing anybody’s situation with that of Jesus just seems like sloppy journalism to me. For a fluff piece like this one you hardly need to drag the good name (depending on who you ask) of Jesus into the mix just to sell some papers. Why are people bothering to report on the offspring of celebrities anyway? Surely there is a war somewhere that deserves more coverage…
