Jesus thought religion was stupid

Well, words  to that effect. Apparently there is a book titled “What Jesus Meant” by Garry Willis. Personally, I wasn’t there and I wasn’t Jesus (that I know of…) so I think it would be difficult for me to know what Jesus meant, but hey, kudos to Garry for pulling it off.

Was Jesus Dead When Taken Down From the Cross?

Posted in Jesus in Print on March 15th, 2006

I just read a press release for a new book, Myths We Live By: From the Life and Times of Jesus and Paul By Andrew C. Delos.

This is an interesting idea but I don’t know anything about the author and can’t vouch for his authority on this subject. He claims to be an accomplished author and professor but is using a pen name for his own reasons. Still, it sounds pretty interesting and the author touches on some things like how Jesus wasn’t born in Bethlehem and how Paul was a great PR man for Jesus and turned him into the Son of God.
