Yes, it’s true. Jesus is bigger than God. Well, you know what I mean.

It’s a work of fiction

Posted in Uncategorized on May 29th, 2006

I’m tired of all the press that a certain movie starring Tom Hanks is getting. All I hear from everyone is a bunch of whining. Blah blah blah. It’s a freakin’ movie people. A work of fiction. No matter what your beliefs are, you’re arguing about a stupid movie. A stupid movie based on a stupid book. Frank Haden wants to remind people that the Bible is a work of fiction as well. Well done Frank, I couldn’t have said it better myself.

Kenneth Starr and Bong Hits for Jesus

Posted in Uncategorized on May 4th, 2006

Well. Looks like everyone’s favorite special lawyer dude is at it again. This time though, instead of destroying a president for receiving oral sex he is looking to violate a young man’s First Amendment rights. Way to go creep, how low can you go?

Clothing company blatantly commercializes Jesus

Posted in Uncategorized on May 4th, 2006

I’ve said before that the commercialization of Jesus is fascinating to me and it seems like it never goes out of fashion. According to this article there is a clothing company in Enn Zed that is using a stencil that says "Quick Use The Jesus Stencil." Brilliant.

Documentary - Jesus Camp

Posted in Uncategorized on May 4th, 2006

I didn’t realize that Pentacostal Christians sent their kids to special summer camps where they were brainwashed by religious psychos and taught bullshit like speaking in tongues. Well, apparently it happens and their is a documentary about it. Scary stuff Bubba, scary stuff. The woman who is I guess the star talks about being God-fearing people and how it’s okay to teach children this hokey belief. Look here, I don’t know how many times I have to say this but I’m going to say it again, according to popular belief, Jesus died for the sins of mankind, both past and future. If this is true than nobody has anything to fear about God because their sins have been forgiven. Period. If it’s not true than it proves that religion is a sham. Brainwashing kids into chanting anti-abortion slogans is not what the Jesus experience is supposed to be about. Also, the Pledge of Allegiance should be outlawed unless it states that "One nation under God" does not mean one nation under one god because that’s the feeling I get when I hear the words and it’s kind of creepy.

Jesus on the edge

Posted in Uncategorized on May 4th, 2006

If you live in Australia and dig Jesus then you should check out "Jesus on the edge" at 93.7 Edge FM. The show sounds kind of interesting - world music, Jesus chat, some other stuff. The thing that intrigues me about it is that people are starting to figure out that Jesus doesn’t have to be in some stuffy church. I especially like the pastor or whoever he was saying "The show will be based in an Anglican tradition but will be open to ecumenical and interfaith issues." He’s saying that he wants to explore openess and self-examination and unity of not only The Church but unity of people of all faiths. Right on. Check it out Tuesdays at 8 pm.

Giant Floating Jesus

Posted in Uncategorized on May 4th, 2006

Hrm, you don’t see this very often.  A giant Jesus  balloon was flying around Tracy, California. The article says that Tracy is near San Francisco but I’m not sure how near as I don’t know where it is. Sorry Tracy. Did you know that today was National Prayer Day? I didn’t either. Yes, I know that it’s actually called something else. Did you know that tomorrow is National No Pants Day? I didn’t think you did.
