Hils tells it like it is. Of course, we already knew that Jesus would be a criminal in today’s world…he’s brown (unlike the pictures of him in America that show him as white with blue eyes), he travels in a gang (different states have different laws for what counts as a gang but thirteen guys walking down the street is a gang no matter what state you live in), and he has a beard. Boom, instant terrorist.

Jesus asked by hospital to change his name

The best part of the article is “Hospital superiors felt that a patient may get the wrong idea if they are told ‘Jesus will be coming soon.’” More here.

Here’s my problem with this story…chances are that since he’s working in a hospital his name is Jesus (pronounced Hey Soos) which sounds nothing like how it is pronounced when discussing Jesus of the Bible (Gee Zus). So is the short article a come on? I have no idea.

If I’m to understand this correctly, we should just do nothing about the troubles in Iraq because when Jesus comes back things will be just fine. I like that plan. It puts a tremendous burden on Jesus while freeing up everyone else to pursue their own thing. Sweet deal.

Sunni authority rejects Jesus film in Egypt

Middle East Online is reporting that the Al-Azhar, the highest authority in Sunni Islam, is rejecting a movie being filmed in Egypt that depicts the life of Jesus. The producer of the film believes that they have no right to interfere with the film.
